Bahrain Clear has new chairman,VC
Manama : The Board of Directors of the Bahrain Clear held its first meeting the other day in the presence of all members, according to reports.
The members elected Abdulkareem Ahmed Bucheeri as the chairman and Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa as vice-chairman.
During the meeting, the board discussed the action plan submitted by Thomas Murray to spur the activities of the company. The board also looked into the requirements of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
haikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa was appointed as managing director until a CEO is appointed. The Bahrain Clear is a fully owned company by Bahrain Bourse, with an authorised capital of BD5,000,000 and a paid-up capital of BD1,000,000.
The company has presently on its board Abdulkareem Ahmed Bucheeri, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Alkhalifa, Yasser Abduljalil Alsharifi, Mohammed Khalid Hashem, Narjes Farookh Jamal and Mahmood Abdul Azeez Almeer.
The Bahrain Clear is engaged in establishing, managing and operating platforms related to depository, clearing and settlement of deals in securities and derivatives.
