Mobile phone robbers arrested
Manama : A gang of mobile-phone robbers was arrested in the Northern Governorate yesterday.
Interior Ministry clarified in a statement that Northern Governorate Police General Director, Colonel Abdulla Al Jairan had announced the arrest of individuals suspected to be robbing money and mobile phones from passersby at different areas in the district.
They were arrested after receiving footages from the CCTV and making necessary identifications. An arrest warrant was obtained from the Public Prosecution before arresting them, said Col. Al Jairan.
After initiating legal proceedings, the case was referred to Public Prosecution, he said.
