Brave aims big
Manama : The fourth edition of BRAVE Championship for professional fight matches was held yesterday at the IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi.
The event was held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honourary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation and Founder of Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martials Organisation (KHK MMA).
Twenty Six fighters participated in the championship organised by BRAVE Combat Federation and attended by MMA enthusiasts, UAE fans, and a number of invitees.
Hailing the success, Shaikh Khalid thanked the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the efforts of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister; HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister in developing an ideal atmosphere for Bahraini youth to attain honourable achievements in international arena.
Shaikh Khalid said: “BRAVE Combat Federation is one of those initiatives aimed at boosting Bahrain’s reputation in the global sporting community. We have taken steps to spread it into cities and capitals around the world to showcase Bahrain’s ability to organise international championships.”
In this regard, Shaikh Khalid lauded the efforts of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in developing the sport.”
“Our goal is to continue spreading the championship in the seven continents of the world,” added Shaikh Khalid.
“I am happy about the success of the fourth edition in Abu Dhabi. We look forward to achieving our aspiration of turning this championship into the first in the world,” Shaikh Khalid said praising the efforts of BRAVE Combat Federation headed by Mohamed Shahid in making the tournament a big success.
