Bahrain International Airport all set for the racing season
Manama : Bahrain International Airport (BIA) is fully prepared to meet the influx of international travellers arriving for this year’s Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which will be held from 14th to 16th April, announced Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of BIA in a statement.

In this regard, BAC in cooperation with its partners at the airport, held a coordination committee meeting to discuss the preparations required to accommodate the teams, visitors and cargo arriving for the race.
A large number of visitors and cargo is expected to land at the airport in time for the event via regular, additional, and chartered flights.
Commenting, BAC Chief Airport Operations Officer, Michael Hohenberger , said: “BIA is expected to receive between 10,000 to 14,000 passengers during the F1 race, which requires the concerted efforts of all concerned parties to help make the event a success.”
