Inter Hotel Charity Cricket: Intercont. Regency A win

Manama  : Intercontinental Regency A defeated Rotana Downtown by five wickets in the quarter finals of The Ritz Carlton Bahrain Sixth Inter Hotel Charity Cricket Tournament 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton Staff Recreation area.

Rotana Downtown batted first and were bowled out for 23 in 5.3 overs with Shankar 10 off 9 deliveries top scoring and Qasim 1 for two) the best of the bowlers.

Intercontinental Regency (A) in reply reached the target scoring 26 for one in 3.3 overs thanks to Yasir 13 off 7, 2x4, while Zeeshan (one for three) returned the best bowling figures.

In another match, Ritz Carlton (A) defeated Lagoona Beach Resort by three wickets as the latter finished on 38 for five in six overs with Yasir 18 off 8, 2x6) the top scorer and Irfan (one for three) the best of the bowlers.

Ritz Carlton (A) reached the target on the penultimate ball of the innings in scoring 39 lfor three, thanks to a great effort by Rameesh (24 off 11, 2x6) with Naeem (three for seven) the best of the bowlers.

A total of 24 teams have been playing round-robin group matches with the knockout stage underway, with this year’s official charity being the Child Wish Society.
