Cockroach infested restaurant under investigation
Manama : The Public Prosecution is currently investigating the case of a first-class cockroach infested restaurant that closed-down on Saturday, it was announced yesterday.
Ministries and Public Institutions Prosecution Head General Attorney Mamdouh Al Ma’awda stated yesterday that “the Food Monitoring Department in Health Ministry has handed over the case of a first-class restaurant that is infested with cockroaches and which contains other violations to the Public Prosecution.”
“The prosecution immediately launched its investigations and heard the official inspector’s testimonies. Investigations into the case is continued in order to refer it to the concerned criminal court. Any risk to human health is a matter that will not be tolerated,” the official added.
