BCCI holds Bahraini-Indian week tomorrow

ManamaEnhanced economic relations between Bahrain and India will be the focus of a high-powered forum that will take place tomorrow at 9:00am in the Palm Hall of Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.  The event will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani.

The forum is jointly organised by the Promotion, Exhibitions and Conferences sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) headed by board member Ahlam Janahi and the Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC).  The event will feature speakers from ‘promising sectors in both countries such as the real-estate development, I.T., infrastructure industry, health care, and financial services.

 In this regard Janahi said “India being a powerful catalyst for global growth, the time is right to look at India for development support and for Indian companies to consider Bahrain as a hub for its GCC and MENA expansion.”  

Vice-chair person of BATC Manoj Bhatia said “We welcome participation and urge the business community to come and see how they can work with these two countries and maximise their advantages.” The event will host key speakers from a number of bodies in Bahrain including the Economic Development Board; BCCI; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority.  And from the Indian side from the Ministry of External Affairs alongside other top managers and business owners.
