Blue Knights to bring unique show

Manama : An internationally acclaimed drum and bugle corps will be thrilling audiences next weekend at the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

The US-based Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps will be performing live on the island for the first time ever and will be showcasing their skills on the grid as part of the opening ceremonies of the 57-lap Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, April 16.

Blue Knights will wear red and white in honour of Bahrain’s national colours and have thrilled audiences around the world with their unique brand of marching music pageantry.

Most recently, they were the featured performers for the Tao Yuan International Band Festival in Taiwan and performed for the opening ceremonies of the 2016 FIS World Cup Alpine Ski Championships.

Based in Denver, Colorado, the Blue Knights ensembles have performed at Presidential Inaugurals for President Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, in concerts with such stars as Keith Urban and Taylor Swift, and are featured performers for the Denver Broncos football team as well as numerous other annual events throughout the US.

They are another brilliant addition to the overall entertainment programme of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which is already packed with plenty of off-track entertainment for all those attending the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
