GPIC inks deal with Isa Cultural Centre
Manama : The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) has signed an agreement with the Isa Cultural Centre to promote the exchange of knowledge and social and scientific activities.
The deal is aimed at increasing cooperation and coordination with institutions that provide services to contribute to the advancement of society.
Isa Cultural Centre Board of Trustees Deputy Chairman Shaikh Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, signed the deal, which stipulates access for all company employees to facilities and services of centre’s National Library.
Dr. Jawahery said the deal would contribute in exchanging information and experiences based on the foundations of cooperation and coordination between the two sides. It would also enhance cultural and knowledge exchange with the exchange of books, publications, periodicals and research.
Following the signing, the guests were given a briefing on the GPIC’s philosophy and strategy, the management methodology, production and exports. The GPIC’s most important achievements in the fields of safety, quality, environmental conservation and community were also reviewed.
The delegation toured the company’s complex and visited the environmental projects. Shaikh Khalid also planted a palm tree to mark his visit.
The Isa Cultural Centre, affiliated to the Royal Court, was established in 2008 and is one of the most prominent cultural institutions in Bahrain.
