Rashid Al Rowaie wins Open Race

Manama : HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Honourary President of the Bahrain Royal Endurance and Equestrian Federation (BREEF) presented trophies to the winners of the HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Endurance Cup which was held on Friday evening in the Bahrain Endurance Village area.

The 120km-contest was the last round of the endurance season and Rashid Al Rowaie of the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team’s Al Zaeem Stable triumphed in the main event; the Open Race, while Abdulrahman Al Zayed of the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team’s Victorious Stable came second, followed by Shaikha Najla bint Salman Al Khalifa of Al Khalidiya Stable in third.

The Cup featured two categories and Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa of Mohammed bin Mubarak Stable emerged as the victor in the Local Stable Owners competition. Khalid Al Mubarak of Asayel Stable was second, and Faisal Al Dossery of Al Ruwaie Stable finished third.

Attending the awarding ceremony were several members of BREEF’s Board members. For his part, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the performances showcased during the event, stating that the Cup was a huge success thanks to the broad participation and results recorded by all the participants of the competition and congratulated all the winners.
