Bahrain condemns deadly bombings
Manama : Bahrain yesterday condemned the deadly bombings of two Coptic Christian churches in Egypt, calling on the international community to strengthen cooperation to eradicate terrorism in all forms.
Affirming its strong resolve, in this regard, the Kingdom, in a statement, said it backs all measures Egypt takes to confront terrorist acts.
The Bahraini leadership offered deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa stressed that In his message, such criminal acts contravene the teachings of all divine religions and human values.
Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also condemned the bombing of the Mar Girgis Coptic Church (Saint George) in Tanta and Saint Mark’s church in Alexandria in Egypt.
King Hamad further reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance in rejection of terrorism in all its forms and support to all international efforts aimed at combating it and stamping out its funding sources.
Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said that the Kingdom has strong confidence in the unity of the Egyptian Society in combating and eradication terrorism.
“Bahrain reiterates its solidarity with Egypt in the face of terrorism and confirms its support to all measures undertaken by Egypt to maintain its security and stability,” the Foreign Ministry statement said.
