Dallah Car Show : Fuelling the nation’s passion

ManamaBahrain’s love for automobiles recently brought the nation together for one of the GCC’s finest car-extravaganzas at the Kingdom’s Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Park.

Held annually in the heart of the Kingdom, the fourth Dallah Car Show was an exciting platform for many GCC automakers to showcase their collections and creations.

The event witnessed more than 70 car owners from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and Lebanon who exhibited their self-designed and self-customised vehicles.

Organised by Khalid and Salman Bukhari, owners of Dallah and the faces of multiple exciting events in the Kingdom, the event attracted over 7000 visitors.

“Our region is known for being passionate about automobiles and owning some of the finest cars in the world. But what is still not known about us is our ability to get innovative with this passion,” said Khalid Bukhari.

Emphasising on the region’s creative talents, he added: “There are so many people in Bahrain and within the GCC who spend great effort and money into customising their cars. Some are even capable of designing and building a car from scratch. The Car Show fuelled the nation’s passion for cars and worked on bringing such exceptional car-enthusiasts to the limelight.”

One such innovator and car-fanatic, Bader Buqais exhibited two of his self-designed and self-built cars along with a 1956 classic from his collection at the event.

He said: “I have been excited by the world of cars for as long as I can remember. Designing and building cars helps me put my passion and knowledge to good use and to see that events such as the Car Show recognise your talents on an international level is a matter of great pride.”

Apart from showcasing several luxury sports, classic and hydraulic cars, the event was a fun-filled family day packed with live entertainment, special activities for children and various food stalls.

“More than commercial and business reasons, we hold such events to place our island on the world map as the hub for a variety of events and activities. If more people invest in unique shows, Bahrain will soon be an island for all and we will successfully remove the word ‘boring’ from a Bahraini’s dictionary,” said Khalid excitedly.

The popular show was sponsored by Al Zayani Investments, Air Arabia, Euro Motors, First Motors and Zayani Motors.
