BTA Tennis: Blair lifts title
Manama : The final (fourth) day of the Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) Junior Tennis Tournament concluded at the Dilmun Club, Saar with James Blair taking the 12 years and under title and Paul Blair winning the 14 years and under title.
In under 12 action, James Blair was a 4-1 winner over Rohan Mukherjee in the final and Owen Verbbek defeated Fahad Al Madhi 4-0 in the third place play-off. Earlier in the semi-finals, James defeated Owen Verbeek and Rohan Mukherjee got the better of Fahad 4-0.
The 14 years title went to Paul Blair with a 4-0 win over Matthias Hopman and James Blair was a 4-0 winner over Kamran Mohammed for third place.
In the semi-finals, Matthias defeated James 4-2 and Paul was a 4-3 winner over Kamran.
BTA and Tournament Director, Dan Barrie commented, “We were glad to have the addition of some top players from Saudi Arabia in this event which will help motivate our local players to continue to work hard and keep improving.”
