Man missing for the past 27 years

ManamaSearch is underway for an Indian expatriate who arrived in Bahrain 27 years ago and has been missing since then.

“Mohamaad Ismail Shariff is his name on the passport but we call him Sajid Pasha.  He first arrived in Bahrain in 1987 and after three years he returned to India and stayed for two months. Our father asked him to stay back in the country but he said that his money was stuck in Bahrain because of the Iraq war and he will come back once he gets his money. But he has not returned after he left in 1990,” said Imtiaz Sharrif, brother of the missing man.

“In these 27 years, he contacted us only three times and that too before 1990. That too via letters as there was no mobile phones in those days. I was really young so I don’t know anything about what he did for a living or where he lived in Bahrain. The only person who knew something about him was our father and he passed away a couple of years ago. We tried to find him but we were unsuccessful. My mother, who is now in a very critical stage, wants to meet him. She is admitted to a hospital in Bangalore,” he said pleading  help to find him.

He flew from Mumbai Airport in March 1990 and the family has not heard from him since then.

Only one picture of him is available with the family that they shared with DT News. Sajid Pasha’s family is from Bangalore where his mother Najmun Nisa is currently critical.
