Crown Prince hosts Duterte

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister yesterday hosted President Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines, at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

During the meeting, His Royal Highness stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing strategic partnerships with Asian countries across various sectors, in-line with His Majesty King Hamad’s vision for Bahrain’s development.

The Crown Prince welcomed President Duterte’s visit to the Kingdom, which he said reflects the scale to which bilateral ties between the two countries have advanced. In this regard, His Royal Highness praised the strong levels of cooperation in the economic, investment, cultural and educations sectors, noting both countries’ commitment to increasing collaboration in areas of mutual benefit.

The President expressed his delight and gratitude in meeting HRH Crown Prince and the latter’s eagerness to advance Bahraini-Filipino ties. The President also praised the BIC for its continued success in organising the Grand Prix, before wishing the Kingdom further prosperity and progress.

His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister also met the President at BIC.
