Indian School Fair from May 25 to 26

Manama : Around 800 students were given fee concession utilising the funds raised from the Indian School Mega Fair held last year, said Prince S Natarajan, chairman of the Indian School Bahrain (ISB).

“Last year around 800 students benefited from the fund generated from the Fair which witnessed a footfall of 200,000,” he said while addressing a press conference at the ISB, Isa town campus, to announce the details of this year’s Mega Fair. He urged the public to participate and make the event more successful so that students and staff can get benefited from the Fair.

This year the Fair will be held on May 25 and 26, he said, adding that various entertainment programmes including a food festival, electronics expo, and a grand exhibition by the students will be organised. The entry fee will be BD2 per person.

The funds generated from the fair will be utilized for the development of the school and welfare activities, he said.

“The school has one of the lowest fee structure and runs on fees collected from the students and the charity of community members who sponsor the education of the needy and financially weaker children,” said Natarajan.

“We hope the footfall is going to be massive this year. We have formed separate teams to work out the logistics and the technicalities to ensure the safety of visitors,” said Dr Shemily P. John, Secretary ISB, thanking the members of the media for their constant support.
