Struggling Indian expats to get free Air India tickets

As part of its tenth anniversary, Air India Express is offering ten free tickets to those Indians expatriates who are in dire straits in Bahrain.

An offer letter in this regard had been handed over to the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Dr Mohan Kumar by Air India Manager for Bahrain and Jordan, Rajneesh Bagga, yesterday.

The duty of identifying the Indian nationals who need support has been entrusted upon the Indian Embassy.

Speaking to DT News, Indian Embassy First Secretary Ram Singh said, after identifying the Indians in need, the embassy would forward their names to Air Indian Express office to issue the tickets.

“We’ll select ten Indians who had not been able to go to their native place due to financial constraints,” Mr Singh said.

The free tickets are not valid for travel during the super peak season from June 18 to July 17, 2015. The passengers should bear the taxes and make use of the tickets before December 31, 2015.

The tenth anniversary of Air India Express falls today.
