Mashroo3i: 60 teams shortlisted
Manama : Labour Fund ‘Tamkeen’ yesterday announced it has shortlisted 60 teams for the Business Planning Phase of Mashroo3i competition.
A total of 110 teams participated in the Orientation Training Programme of the competition, which is now in its fourth edition. Mashroo3i – a youth business plan competition- aims at promoting entrepreneurial values and transforming business ideas and dreams into feasible business plans. The competition targets youth aged between 18 to 30 years old.
“The teams were shortlisted based on set guidelines including evaluation of business ideas and individuals characteristics,” said Manager of Youth Schemes at Tamkeen, Mohammed Ahmadi.
In the current phase, the teams will work closely with 13 mentors for about two months to develop business
plans.
Thirty teams will make it to the next stage, which is a Prototype Phase. The prototypes will be exhibited during an event held in one of the shopping malls in July.
“We are proud of the caliber of teams involved in this year’s edition and are closely monitoring their progress as they creatively convert their ideas into businesses,” said the Manager of Youth Schemes at Tamkeen, Mohammed Ahmadi.
