Show jumping: Ghazwan wins

Manama : Under the patronage of Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), the show jumping season concluded at the weekend with the participation of a large number of elite participants from Bahrain at the Bahrain Defence Force Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.

Sami Ghazwan (50.24 seconds, 4 faults) riding Miss Adhari won the Adults Class 5 Grand Prix individual title, followed in second place by Shaikh Abdullah Al Khalifa (66.63, 4 faults) on Salah Aldin BDF, while third place went to Abbas Yousif (59.33, 8 faults) on Indurado Things To Do.

The team competition winners comprised Ali Essa (Vivika), Ahmed Mansoor (Alteka Du Fort BDF) and Sami Ghazwan (Miss Adhari), runners-up were Ahmed Al Alawi (Evelyn), Shaikh Abdullah Al Khalifa (Salah Aldin BDF) and Basel Al Doseri (CISM 1 Al Fateh) and third place went to Ahmed Akbar (Elessi), Saber Faraj (Bahrain BDF) and Mohammed Jassim (Uup).

In Adults Class 4 for cumulative points, with the Joker fence, Ghazwan (37.93 and 44 points) on Miss Adhari came in first, runner-up was Ahmed Mansoor (40.18, 44) on Alteka and third place went to Yahya Ahmed (43.52, 44) on Thrust.

Mayoof Al Rumaihi (45.47) on Bresfal first place in Adults Class 3 in a single round, followed in second by Ahmed Essa (50.64) on Valentine Horse Pride, with third place going to Khalil Abdulrahim (50.99) on F.Elime.

In the Juniors the Grand Prix titles were won in the individual class by Mayoof Al Rumaihi (45.13) on Mashaallah, in second place was Ahmed Al Hashili (50.12) on Romance Z and third  went to Hussain Asghar (57.44) on Heart Breaker Things To Do.

The team competition was won by the trio consisting of Pippa Fourie (Itachi), Moayoof Al Rumaihi (Ansha) and Mustafa Dadullah (Rainsong).
