Indian expats cricket underway
Manama : The Indian Club Indian Expatriates Seven-a-Side Softball Cricket Tournament 2017 got underway at its premises in Gudaibiya following an opening ceremony attended by club members, guests and teams for this month-long tournament.
The opening match of the group stage saw Supernet Cargo defeat BCG by five wickets with the latter dismissed for just 17 in 5.1 overs and in reply Supernet Cargo reached the target in scoring 18 for one in 1.3 overs.
In the second match, Vinal CC also won by five wickets against Bahrain Blues as the latter were dismissed for 27 in 5.3 overs and then Vinal secured victory after scoring 30 for one in 5.1 overs.
