Endurance success hailed
Manama : HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Captain of the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, congratulated the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team on its performance in the French Lignières Endurance Race by achieving honourable results for the Kingdom.
His remarks came after the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, represented by Al Roud Team, who came in first over a distance of 120km through Hamad Al Kaabi (five hours 22 minutes 53 seconds) riding Waterlea Commodore with an average speed of 25km/ph.
Shaikh Nasser praised the achievement by the team in its second European participation and had benefited greatly in terms of training and performance and enthusiasm of the riders. “Everything went the way the team wanted, with them deservedly earning the first place and marked the excellence of Bahraini endurance,” .
Manager of Al Roud Team, Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Shaikh Nasser for supporting and follow-up with the riders, resulting in first place of the race and the plan and preparation prior to the race drawn up by Shaikh Nasser which led to success featuring an elite group of the world’s finest equestrian riders
