Another success for GPIC

Manama : The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company yesterday said it produced 404,468 metric tons of Ammonia, Urea and Methanol in the first quarter of this year.

Announcing the results, GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery said the company achieved this without a single lost time accident.

The average daily production for the first quarter of the year was 4,494 metric tonnes.

Dr Jawahery attributed the result to company’s continuous approach to modernisation and development of operations, plant equipment, commitment to carrying out regular maintenance and providing the latest available training programmes for employees.

He said such success had been achieved as a result of the strategy set up by the Board of Directors under the Chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Al Sharyan.

He also pledged that the company would continue to achieve more records, while complying with the highest environmental standards.

All of GPIC’s products are subject to international regulations for environmental quality, occupational health and safety as well as responsible care.

Looking ahead, Dr  Jawahery said that the challenges and responsibilities for the rest of the year, require everyone to make more efforts and work as a team.

GPIC recently recorded 25 million work hours, or 5,456 working days without a lost time accident, which resulted in increased production.
