Kidney Care Exhibition from May 4-6

ManamaThanal Bahrain Chapter is gearing up for a Kidney Care Exhibition from May 4 to 6 at the Indian School Bahrain with the support of the Ministry of Health (MoH) in order to spread awareness about kidney care and arrange free kidney screening. The organisers said MoH has agreed to loan all the specimens required for the exhibition like human body, kidney and other human organs to exhibit for the educational and demonstration purpose. MoH and Thanal has established a mutual partnership for disseminating awareness initiative among the public in the Kingdom focusing mainly the expatriates.  

Thanal is a charitable organization rendering various humanitarian services like dialysis and palliative care centres, medical clinics, ambulance services etc. and running the biggest stand alone dialysis facility in India equipped with 80 dialysis machines functioning in four units by doing more than 5,000 dialysis every month, thus benefitting almost 500 underprivileged patients.

Thanal has conducted a number of such exhibitions and awareness campaigns in India, which was well accepted by the public.

The Exhibition General Convener Rafeeq Abdulla said, “We have got the inspiration from these exhibitions and decided to conduct the similar one in Bahrain as well for the benefits of Bahrain residents.” 

This exhibition will provide chance to check attendees micro albumin and creatinine by a simple urine test. 

Thanal’s Chief Patron Soman Baby said, “This is the first time we are organising such a major Kidney Care Exhibition in a GCC country. We are thankful to the Bahrain government for their overwhelming support and co-operation.”

MoU signing ceremony took place in the presence of Health Ministry’s Undersecretary Dr. Aysha Buanq, Assistant Secretary for Traning Dr. Ameen Al Awadhi, Chief of Financial Affairs Surender Jain, Thanal Chief Patron Soman Baby, Thanl Chairman Razak Muzhikkal, General Convener Rafeeq Abdulla and Coordinator Mujeeb Rahman.
