Housing units distributed among police personnel

ManamaInterior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Adbullah Al Khalifa distributed housing units of Aali Housing Project among eligible Public Security Officers at a ceremony held here yesterday.

The project has a total of 21 housing units that were distributed among officers in accordance with certain eligibility criteria. Each unit is built on an area of 364 square meters.

The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Rashid, Housing Minister Bassim Alhamer, Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and senior police officers and officials.

The Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his dedication to ensure decent living for police personnel out of appreciation of their role in the protection of lives, property and national achievements.

He also thanked Housing, Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministries, as well as the Electricity and Water Authority for their cooperation in achieving this project within the deadline and specifications.

For his part, Minister Alhamer hailed HM the King for giving utmost importance to housing services. 

The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the care and support of HM the King to policemen and the dedication of Interior Minister to provide all kinds of support to the personnel. By the end of the ceremony, Lt. Gen. Shaikh Rashid unveiled the memorial plaque and distributed the units’ keys among the beneficiaries. He also inspected one of the units.
