Manama : Security defeated Projects 2338-2268 in the first round of the Bapco Interdepartmental Bowling Knockout Tournament at the Ozone Centre in Sitra Mall to reach the semi-finals of the competition.
Top scoring for Security was its captain Hammad Eid (235) high game and (648) high series and for Projects Lito Francisco (213) game and Hassan Hubaishi (597) series.
In another match, Information Technology Department (ITD) beat Retirees 2411-2251 for a semi-final place, top scoring for ITD was Abdul Latif Hassan (238) game and (611) series and for Retirees Talal Yousif (209) game and (604) series.
No matches are scheduled tonight due to the Labour Day holiday, with the semi-finals set to take place on May 8 between ITD and Marketing and Security with Refining.
