Bahrain, Thailand boost friendly ties
Bangkok : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met Thai Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, here yesterday as part of his current visit to friendly Thailand.
General Prayut Chan-o-cha conveyed to HM the King greetings from the Thai Monarch, HM King Vajiralongkorn, as well as his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Bahrain.
HM King Hamad welcomed the Thai Prime Minister, and requested him to convey his greetings and good wishes to King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand, and his wishes of continuous progress and prosperity to the friendly people of Thailand.
HM the King lauded the fruitful outcomes of the recent successful visit of the Thai Premier to Bahrain, noting that the visit strengthened bilateral cooperation in various vital fields. HM expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Thai Premier for the gracious welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation, which, he said, reflects the depth of the distinguished Bahraini-Thai relations of friendship and cooperation.
General Prayut Chan-o-cha welcomed HM, stressing that the visit will open up new horizons of bilateral cooperation. He expressed thanks and gratitude to HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him throughout his recent visit to Bahrain.
HM the King and the Thai Prime Minister reviewed the steadily-growing relations between the two countries in various fields, and the steps that may contribute to strengthening those close ties, in line with the two kingdoms’ keenness to push bilateral cooperation further.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the advanced level of bilateral relations, and affirmed their keenness on strengthening them in the economic, trade, investment, cultural and tourism fields.
