Huawei powers NEC datacenter
Manama : Huawei Bahrain and NEC Payments have announced the implementation of a new enterprise-class datacenter, designed to support Bahrain’s financial services industry and emerging cashless society.
“We look forward to this datacenter empowering Bahrain’s local payments market and serving Bahrain’s growing cashless economy,” said Huawei Bahrain’s CEO, Feng Nan Paul.
Among Huawei’s latest technology deployed at NEC Payments’ datacenter are two converged servers, which integrate many functions for handling big data in one single framework. These have been coupled with one of Huawei’s hallmark cloud data storage systems designed for fast data growth and on-demand disaster recovery, as well as Huawei’s high security data protection system.
Commenting on the move, NEC Payments CEO, Andrew Sims said, “It enables us to rapidly deploy and scale new payment products and services on behalf of financial services customers in Bahrain and the GCC.”
