Pre-employment training and educational exhibition held

Manamapre-employment  training and educational expo was held at  the Sheraton Hotel yesterday. 

Med Point organised the expo entitled “Bahrain Exhibition for Pre-employment Training and Education” which was aimed at familiarising students who are expected to graduate from the secondary and university levels with the available educational, training and employment opportunities in the Kingdom. 

The expo was held under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister.

Jameel Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development inaugurated the event in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors Med Point Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and other officials from the educational and training institutions.

“This kind of events contribute a lot to human development and prepare the Bahraini youth to professionally integrate into the market through the cooperation between various agencies involved in education, training and employment sectors in the Kingdom,” said Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan.

“The initiatives of the private sector to provide employment meets the goals of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development that is continuously striving to strengthen the mechanisms of employment of citizens in the labour market. The exhibition is an opportunity for job seekers to identify the specific job opportunities offered in the Bahraini labour market. Further, I would also like to thank the private sectors as it plays a very big role in developing the labour market in the Kingdom,” he added.

“The aim of the exhibition is to introduce students who are expected to graduate from the secondary and university levels with the available educational, training and employment opportunities as per the nature of the labour market requirements,” said Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of Med Point, organisers of the event.

“The continuation of the exhibition for the seventh year in a row reflects the success achieved in previous years and the positive impact it has left on the participants,” she said. 

She thanked the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Labour, Tamkeen and Ministry of Education for their support. The expo had three main sections -- education, training, and employment opportunities for the youth in the Kingdom.
