Art of digital designs
Manama : Providing a glimpse into the limitless world of graphic art, the University College of Bahrain (UCB) held its 12th annual Graphic Design Exhibition on its premises.
The event was inaugurated by Dr Khalid Al Khalifa, Executive Chairman (UCB) and Sh. Hala Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director of Culture and Arts, Bahrain.
The highlight of the show was the stalls put by the students of Graphic Design at UCB.
“We have four final year students who’re exhibiting their project. They began working on it many months ago after having received approval to go forward”, said Lilian Hallak, Director of Graphic Design Programme, UCB.
One of the students, Ayah Al-Akari had various anime paintings at her stall, ‘Yeppoe Café’. “All of these have been done by me. These could further be printed onto cups, glasses etc.,” said Al Akari, while showing the samples she created.
The exhibition had been scheduled from 12 noon to 6 pm and had numerous visitors and art enthusiasts. Students from Riffa Views International School had also come to attend the exhibition.
One of the guests, Ahaireya Qarooni said, “We had a multimedia course related exhibition a few months back and now the Graphic Art, which has got many unique exhibits comparatively”.
