Bahrain rejects statement of Syrian envoy to Lebanon
Manama : Bahrain yesterday rejected the statements made by the Ambassador of Syria to the Lebanon as “unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain.” In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the ambassador’s statement constituted an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain.
“These statements reflect a clear contradiction to the realities in the Kingdom which supports and guarantees all freedoms and rights and is a model of coexistence and tolerance among all,” the Foreign Ministry statement said. The Ministry said it is surprised by such irresponsible and blatant statements at a time when all efforts must be made to speed up the development of peaceful solutions to the Syrian crisis that will end the suffering of the Syrian people and restore Syria’s status and preserve its sovereignty, territorial integrity and the safety of its people.
