Young Stars lead Hockey League
Manama : Young Stars lead the Bahrain Hockey League after four rounds in the six-team competition being played at the St Christopher’s School Astro Turf campus pitch in Isa Town.
In its first match, Young Stars defeated Bahrain Hockey Development 4-0 with the goals coming from Shahid Jabbar, Shahid Abbas, Mushtaq Ahmed and Adil Ashai, while in its second match they received a walkover win from Bahrain Hawks.
The Ministry of Interior are second after a 6-1 win over Hungry Hamours thanks to five goals by Wasim Akhter and the other from Asif Khan, with Ellen Leon scoring a consolation for the losers.
