Sashi Tharoor to open Book Fair, Literary Fest
Manama : Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS), as a part of its ‘India @70, BKS @70’, celebrations is organising an International Book Fair and Literary Fest from May 17 to 27 at the BKS Diamond Jubilee Hall.
This was announced by BKS President P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai and Acting General Secretary Manoharan Pavaratty at a press conference held recently at the Samajam.
Former UN Under Secretary General and MP Sashi Tharoor will inaugurate the BKS-DC Book Fair and Cultural Fest on May 17. ‘Era of Darkness’, written by Shashi Tharoor on the British empire in India, will also be released at this function.
Environmental activist Dr. Vandana Shiva, career guru B S Warier, writers Dr. K.S. Ravikumar and Manoj Kuroor will attend the Book Fair and Literary Fest. Dr. Vandana Shiva will speak on environmental issues on May 18. Short story writing competitions, literary quiz and a carrier guidance classes led by career guru B S Warier will be held. A literary Camp will also be held on May 25 and 26 led by Manoj Kuroor and Dr. K.S. Ravikumar.
