MEAMF 2017 opens today at Gulf Hotel
Manama : The 2nd Middle East Asset Management Forum (MEAMF 2017) begins today at the Gulf Hotel, Manama under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and in partnership with the Global Investor/ISF, part of the renowned Euromoney plc group.
The forum will commence with a keynote speech by Abdul Rahman Al Baker, Executive Director of Financial Institutions Supervision at the CBB, followed by a number of plenary sessions that will focus on the asset management market development, regulation, Value Added Tax (VAT), as well as blockchain and fintech.
More than 200 international delegates are expected to attend the forum, with Securities & Investment Company (SICO), EquiChain and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) confirmed as sponsors, and Thomson Reuters as Knowledge Partner.
Commenting on the forum, Abdul Rahman Al Baker said, “Basically, the asset management industry is of one of the most vital financial services in the MEA region, I hope, the discussions in the above event of industry professionals will further enhance in opening greater opportunities.”
