Customs clearance e-payments increases 10pc in April-May
Manama : Customs Affairs in the Interior Ministry yesterday announced an increase in the e-payment applications for customs clearance through “Fawateer” payment system by 10 per cent in April and May.
“There were 2, 587 payments made in April and 2, 826 in May so far, with a total worth of BD71, 405 and BD77, 176, respectively. The increase in e-payments achieves the goals of the Customs Affairs to facilitate paperwork and enhance services,” a statement issued yesterday by Customs Affairs read, advising the public to benefit from electronic services.
