Kuwait Amir, Premier hails bilateral ties

Manama : The Amir of Kuwait HH Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah yesterday received Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa during a fraternal visit to the State of Kuwait and reviewed outstanding bilateral relations.

Kuwait Crown Prince HH Shaikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister HH Shaikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah were also present during the meeting.

The Kuwaiti leader and HRH the Premier affirmed keenness on further strengthening joint ties, stressing the importance of benefiting from global shifts to consolidate regional economies and maintain security and stability.

HRH the Premier conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Kuwaiti leader, stressing keenness on bolstering longstanding historic relations.

The two leaders discussed the impact of regional and international issues, urging further coordination and cooperation to strengthen the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to withstand regional and international developments and challenges.

The Amir of Kuwait hosted an Iftar banquet in honur of HRH the Premier and the accompanying delegation. Kuwait Crown Prince, Prime Minister and senior officials attended.
