Middle East Hospital signs MoU with Housing Ministry
Manama : Middle East Hospital has hosted a visit by Housing Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
The visit was for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Middle East Hospital and Medical Centre with the Housing Ministry, which will see a special discount given to the Ministry’s employees and their families.
During the visit, the Under-Secretary was accompanied by Housing Ministry director of human resources and financial directorate Shaikh Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa and Housing Ministry chief of PR and media Haitham Kamal.
The officials were given a guided tour of all the hospital departments, where they were shown the open MRI machine, the 24-hour emergency department which delivers round-the-clock care and the dynamics of the hospital.
Middle East Hospital is one of the few hospitals in Bahrain to have an open MRI machine on-site. Shaikh Abdulla was pleased to see the infrastructure that has been implemented at Middle East Hospital and how patients are treated.
He also noted that the facilities were custom built for the hospital.
Following the visit the Under-Secretary commented: “I was honoured to come and visit Middle East Hospital and I have seen great potential with its latest technology machine, facilities and well-qualified medical staff.
“I consider this hospital to have a positive impact on the health sector in Bahrain and the near future.
“I wish the hospital staff all the best.”
Middle East Group chairman Varghese Kurian stated: “We have the expertise to fulfil the medical requirements in quality-driven and compassionate surroundings.”
Middle East Hospital GM, Mr Ayman Ababneh added: “Through this arrangement, we aim to provide quality health services to Ministry of Housing employees and their families.”
