BREEF seminar on Arabian Horse

Manama : The Arabian Horse Beauty Committee in the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) has hosted a lecture entitled “Reproduction in Horses and Basics of Artificial Insemination” which was delivered by Dr Khalid Al Khaldi of Oman. The event was attended by owners, breeders, horse trainers and veterinarians. 

The committee also organised a course for horse exhibitors in the basics of the presentation and evaluation of the Arabian horse, and it was conducted by Gerard Batty, Bahrain. The Committee aimed from hosting the lecture on the Artificial Insemination to study the reality of local production, raise awareness and preservation of Arabian horse breeds as well as to improve them. 

Dr Al Khalidi spoke about the importance of the lecture for learning the method of production using modern artificial insemination without relying on the traditional method.

Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan President of the Arabian Horse Beauty Committee underlined that organising the courses came in line with the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BCO), Honourary President of BREEF.
