Three expats found dead
Manama : Three expatriates were found dead at their labour camps in the past 24 hours. Chitravelu Shanmugam, an expat from India, was found dead when he hung himself at his labour camp near Al Naim area. According to sources, Chitravelu was a trader for a real estate firm who left the workplace without informing. When asked about him, his roommates told us that he hung himself and was found dead at around 8:00 pm.
Raju, another expatriate from India, was found dead as he hung himself in his apartment in A’ali. Raju, who worked as a houseboy, was found dead at 8:00 am. We are in the process to send his body back to his family soon after the postmortem.
Amandeep Singh, an expatriate from India worked as a clerk for one of the contracting companies, was found dead in his camp at West Eker at around 6:00 am.
“I was just heading out for work when we found him unconscious on a chair. We tried to wake him up but he had no heart beat, we immediately called the ambulance, but he was no more,” said an expatriate.
