Bahrain to host unique 8-hour ladies yoga relay

ManamaThe International Yoga Day on June 21st will be marked with a unique eight-hour Ladies Yoga Relay at various locations throughout the Kingdom. 

To be organised by popular diaspora magazine Salaam Bahrain with the support of the Embassy of India, the relay is divided into eight sessions of 60 minutes each. Each guided session will take place under the supervision of a yoga teacher and is open to ladies at all levels of yoga training.

The first session will take place from 6 to 7 am and will be led by Amelia German, a yoga teacher, part of the Well-Being Programme at Bapco. This will take place at the Princess Sabeekha Park in Awali.

The second session from 7 to 8 am will be offered by the Isha Foundation and shall take place in Manama at the Indian Club in Gudaibiya.

The third session, from 8 to 9 am will be hosted by Pure Yoga located in Hamala.

The fourth hour of the relay, from 9 to 10 am will be hosted by popular yoga teacher Hency Parekh at the Sports Training Complex in Saar.

From 10 to 11 am, Fitness First will host the ladies of the Maharashtra Cultural Society at their yoga studio at the Fitness First in Juffair Mall.

Gauri Dhokate, an Adliya-based yoga teacher will run the sixth hour of the Yoga Relay from 11 am to 12 noon at the Indian Club in Gudaibiya.

Members and guests of the Indian Ladies Association will come together with yoga teacher Pallavi for the seventh hour of the relay from 12 noon to 1 pm at their clubhouse in Baraka Building in Old Palace Road.

The final hour of the relay, from 1 to 2 pm shall be hosted by Jacques Dessange, the popular ladies fitness club in Adliya.Lady members of the Rajasthanis in Bahrain group will also be joining different sessions.
