Dog dies after being locked in a parked car

ManamaA dog died of heat exhaustion after being trapped inside a car for hours without any water and windows shut in Saar yesterday.

Many attempts were made by a woman to remove the trapped husky from the car. She called Civil Defence and Traffic Directorate officials to get the contact details of the car owner but there was either no response or they refused to help the dog out.

“The person even tried to break the window of the car to save the dog but was unsuccessful. When she sought help from people around they refused to help her too,” said a resident.

“Also, the people in the area did know that there was a dog locked in a parked car but they just refused to help and by the time the animal-rescue team got there the dog had already died,”  said a resident.

“People need to understand that there are a few breeds of dogs that aren’t made for countries like this and are meant to be in a cool environment,” said the resident.
