Manama : Housing is one of the top priorities of the Kingdom, said Deputy King, His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday.
Prince Salman was visiting the Majlises of the sons of the late Abdul Karim Ahmed Al Ansari, Al Shaikh Mustafa bin Abdullatif and the late Abdulla Ahmed Nass.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa accompanied HRH.
Highlighting Kingdom’s priority in providing modern and affordable housing, HRH Prince Salman noted that the GCC Development Fund is instrumental in delivering projects, infrastructure and public services.
The Deputy King also welcomed the recent programmes and initiatives which have accelerated the delivery of housing units across the Kingdom.
In this regard, Prince Salman recalled the prominent role of the legislative authority in adopting laws and regulations which support economic development and strengthen the Kingdom’s investment environment.
“Citizens’ interests are the focal point of ongoing development efforts,” said Prince Salman adding that the series of laws introduced recently to drive growth helped the country adjust to regional and global economic challenges.
His Royal Highness also stressed that education quality has a direct impact on development goals, noting that training development and educational standards remain a key priority.
The Deputy King emphasised that the success of the Kingdom’s sustainable development goals hinges on the combined efforts of all Bahrainis.
“The national values and principles continue to drive nation’s development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa,” said Prince Salman adding that this protects Bahrain society from attempts to politicise religion and promote extremism.
