UOB launches new academic programmes for students
Manama : The University of Bahrain (UOB) will have eleven new academic programmes launching this September.
The new programmes have been influenced by human capital needs of employers and the Gulf regions shift towards an increasing digitalized economy.
A major win for UOB was to launch the masters in environment and sustainable development in partnership with the Prince Charles foundation, the only one of its kind in the GCC.
The new programmes include: BSc in Network Engineering; BSc in Software Engineering; BSc in Pharmacy (Completion); BSc in Radiologic Technology - Diagnostic (Completion) ; MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development; MSc in Cyber security; MSc in Software Engineering; MSc in Finance; MSc in Human Resource Management; MSc in Islamic Finance; MSc in Accounting.
“With several new postgraduate programmes also staring it allows us to serve working professionals and industry through offering continuous learning opportunities,” said President of UOB Prof Riyad Hamzah.
UOB is also introducing a new two-semester orientation programme for students from September, which will now also include modules in math, and ICT.
