Loohuis came from behind to beat Sala
Manama : Dutchman Bas Loohuis came from a set down to defeat Spaniard Joan Sala 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 to clinch a place in the men’s singles final on the 12th day of The Indian Club Y.K.Almoayyed Open Tennis Ramadan Tournament at its premises in Gudaibiya.
Loohuis is set to take on the group winner in the delayed group matches (due to other tennis tournaments’) of either Elias Abdul Redha, Floris Jan Hinnen or Eric Lavaud.
In men’s doubles action, Serwin Ramprasad and Ric De Groot beat Bas Loohuis and Michel Brost 6-2, 6-3 and play the winner of the Eric Lavaud/Rahul Jaideep match.
Bahraini duo Rashid Obaidly and Karim Abdul Redha are set to play Lavaud and Jaideep after the latter had earlier beaten Floris Jan Hinnen and Koen Van Der Drift 6-2, 6-4 in the quarter finals.
