59 per cent Bahraini youths concerned about IS: Survey
A survey conducted by ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller and Penn Schoen Berlandmore (PSB) claimed that 59 per cent of Bahraini youth were concerned about the threat of ISIS. The organizations published their findings in their survey titled 7th Annual ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey 2015.
It said that 3,500 face-to-face interviews were conducted from January 20 to February 12, with Arab youth from all over the Middle East for collecting the information. “The aim of this annual survey is to present evidence-based insights into the attitudes of Arab youth, providing public and private sector organisations with data and analysis to inform their decision-making and policy formation,”ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller and Penn Schoen Berlandmore said.
According to the organizations, the survey is the most comprehensive of its kind covering Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and 10 other countries in the Middle East. “The rise of ISIS is a major worry for Arab youth with nearly three in four (73 per cent) “concerned” about the extremist group’s growing influence and almost two in five (37pc) citing it as the biggest obstacle facing the region,” the ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey report stated.
