Bole top Bahrain Merida rider
Manama : Bahrain’s Merida Pro Cycling Team rider Grega Bole from Slovenia was classified 19th and the best performances of the eight remaining team members for the Kingdom yesterday after completing the fourth stage of the 104th Tour de France. Bole finished in 4 hours 53 minutes and 54 seconds which was the same time as the stage leader Frenchman Arnaud Demare of the FDJ team, along with nearly 170 of the 195 riders in the tour.
Bahrain’s other two riders finished well behind the leading group with Ethiopian Tsgabu Grmay (173rd, +3.30) and Javier Moreno (174th, Spain, +3.30).
Today, the fifth stage takes the remaining (194) riders into the Vosges mountains in France over 160.5km from Vittel and concluding near the summit of La Planche des Belles Filles.
