Foreign Ministry’s “#Travel_Safe” awareness campaign launched
Manama : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced it has launched a “Travel Safe” awareness campaign marking the beginning of the summer peak travel season in the Kingdom. The campaign aims to familiarise Bahraini citizens with steps that must be taken to enjoy safe holidays abroad.
The ministry statement said that the ‘Travel Guidelines 2017’ provides information on passport validity, host country regulations, ways to avoid theft, finding proper accommodation as well as dress codes.
The campaign has been launched through various social media channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as through Bahrain News Agency.
Brochures and flyers containing information on Bahraini embassies and diplomatic missions abroad along with their contact numbers are distributed to passengers at the Bahrain International Airport. Useful information will be displayed on TV screens at the airport and via. Video clips through Bahrain TV and social media channels.
‘Wejhaty’ app
The ministry also insists Bahraini travellers register their trips on the Wejhaty app. to receive notifications and alerts regarding their destination, visa information and other travel-related services. For details visit MOFA’s Twitter and Instagram at @bahdiplomatic.
