STACK LEGO concludes with a huge success

Manama : The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has successfully concluded the STACK event,held in collaboration with LEGO, at the Bahrain International Exhibitions and Convention Centre between the 4th and 8th of July 2017.

“We are extremely pleased with the success achieved from the STACK event, which attracted 31,000visitors coming in fromneighboring GCC countries. The unique eventprovideda fun-filled tourist attraction in Bahrain during the busy season of the Eid holidays.said the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa.

"Hosting such international events comes as part of our long-term strategy to develop the Kingdom’s tourism sectorunder the umbrella of‘Ours. Yours., which contributes towards the development of the Kingdom’s economy and is in line with the 2030 Vision. The Stack eventalso aimed to further strengthen the position of the Kingdom as an ideal tourist destination,” he added.

The STACK event providedan educational content that cateredfor a wide audience. It gavechildren and adults the opportunity to work together and use the Lego bricks as a fun and educational tool while enjoying the different activities in a fun-filled atmosphere.

The event covered an area of 3,515 sqm for the main activities, including the display of huge Lego models and a creation zone, and an additional area of 350 sqm dedicated to food stalls, rest areas, information desks, and a Lego retail store.

With more than 100,000 bricks of all shapes, sizes and colors, families were able to enjoy building different Lego models and sets. The 3,515 sqm area was divided into several entertainment zones, such as “Build A City” where visitors got the chance to build famous landmarks from around the globe. It also included the Souq, Mosaic, Desert Pit, a cinema that played the latest Lego films, and other fun activities.

In addition, the event provided an educational and competition area where visitors were able to challenge their skills and enhance their experience. The event dedicated areas to exhibit characters of the famous international movies such as Ice Age, Disney Princesses and others.
