BTEA signs MoU with Tamkeen
Manama : The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Labour Fund “Tamkeen” signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday to support the development of the Online Hotel Integration Project recently launched by BTEA.
The project links all the data related to the hotel industry under one system, which will be updated periodically with the latest figures and data.
The signing ceremony was held between the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa and the Chief Executive Officer of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi in the presence of senior management from both entities.
As a part of the MoU, Tamkeen will be covering 50 per cent of the total cost of the project by supporting the 3 Star, 2 Star, 1 Star hotels along with hotel apartments. The other hotels are currently listed and included in the project which will be completed within one year.
“Such e-services effectively contributes to the development of the Kingdom’s tourism sector and it is vital to keep pace with the global digital evolution,”said the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
