Man dies after drinking too much alcohol: Public Prosecution

Manama : An Asian man died after drinking too much alcohol in a tragic incident reportedly occurred in the Hamad Town. 

Initial reports indicate that the man, a construction worker, had consumed large amounts of alcohol causing his death.

The incident came to light when the man was found lying naked on the road, under scorching sun, by a passer-by in  Hamad Town, said the Public Prosecution in a statement. 

According to the statement, the incident was reported and investigated by the agency last week. 

A person, who was driving past the auto workshops near Hamad Town at noon, reported the incident to the police. 

He informed police officers that a man is lying naked on the road and is not showing any signs of life and was surrounded by cans of alcoholic beverages. 

“A police patrol vehicle and an ambulance soon reached the scene and examined the man’s body. The coroner announced him dead on the spot and initial reports indicated that he died of alcohol poisoning,” the Public Prosecution report showed.

However, no explanation was available as to why he was lying naked on the road in such high temperatures that exceeded 40 degrees Celsius. No further information was available on the man’s identity.
