Man dies in accident
Manama : An Indian expatriate lost his life yesterday when the pickup he was travelling collided with another car at the Khalifa bin Salman Bridge (Hidd) on the Mina Salman lane, towards Juffair.
The deceased is identified as Madhu Raghavan who worked as a supervisor for Plafixx Dry Mix Co. W.l.l.
Madhu was sitting in the pickup next to the driver when the incident took place. The driver and another person in the back seat also sustained minor injuries.
“Our driver was shifting the lane when a car collided with a gas cylinder carrier which was parked in the service lane. We still don’t know how the accident happed but the driver told us that another car might have shifted the lane without giving an indicator that caused their pickup to collide with the parked truck, “ said a passenger.
Madhu lost his life due to a severe head injury. His body will be sent to his family as soon as legal procedures are completed. MOI tweeted later in the evening confirming the accident and death of the individual.
